Saturday Morning

Saturday morning we gathered in the media center of our old high school.   It didn't look at all familiar.  For one thing, there was a table with assorted donuts and a coffee pot that looked totally out of place, like maybe we were in the teacher's lounge.  Maybe we were just never in the library at the same time as Cora York.   In our business meeting, Linda Bogan opened with prayer.   Roy introduced the committee members, with  their areas of responsibility.  In other business, it was decided by those contributing to memorials, to give the $484 in contributions to the BISD.   The total amount collected for registrations and other contributions amounted to just over $8800, of which most has since gone to pay reunion expenses.   Click BHS Financial Report to view the current financial report . Wanda Campbell Klause agreed to coordinate the next reunion, date to be decided.  Roy Gurley will continue to act as treasurer, and June Mason Willingham will continue to maintain class address list.

The cheerleaders for the coming year led us in a couple of school yells and the school song.  Surprisingly, most of us  remembered the words pretty well.  With that all said and done, the cheerleaders took us on a tour through the high school, followed by the taking of the group photo on the front steps.   As someone said, "it was like herding a bunch of cats".
